Drilling in the Arctic Refuge Could Release a Double Dose of Carbon
- aurizon 6y agoWe swim in the oil that may kill us all. The potential oil in the Arctic refuge is not needed. Ways and mean are now coming on stream that will make it never used = a lower price for oil = extending the use of what oil is left and delaying the total cessation of oil use via combustion. There will be smaller uses for oil to make some feed-stocks, but not very much as I can see the use of cellulose and chitin based polymers, which are both biodegradable (unless chlorinated/fluorinated to block any use as compostable biomass). Tax oil at $1 per gallon, going up by $1 every 5 years will soon choke this snake.
