I've found that the best mechanical keyboard is a brown switch with the silicone silencers on it. Rather than 'avoiding bottoming out' which feels weird, they instead create a cushy bottoming out that feels like it bounces your fingers from one key to the next kind of like a buckling spring. I recommend trying it if you never have.
