I wanted to use a mechanical keyboard for years but working from home with other people in the house or working in an open office environment made it difficult due to noise.
That was until I recently discovered the Gazzew Boba U4 tactile switches. These things feel amazing and are quieter than my crappy old non-mechanical keyboards!
This keyboard has been life changing. Total cost somewhere south of $200. I highly recommend looking into building one if you spend more than an hour per day on a keyboard.
Here's a video comparing the u4s to Cherry MX Browns: https://www.reddit.com/r/keyboards/comments/lmdy4s/mechanical_keyboards_can_be_quiet_quick/ https://www.reddit.com/r/keyboards/comments/lmdy4s/mechanica...
