If i understand correctly the antenna tracks a specific satellite as it transit above it.
So how does it handle the switch from that satellite to the next one without losing signal?
- speedbird 6y agoSeems like once its found the optimal pointing it stays there, the rest is done with phased array steering, so very rapid tracking / switching possible.
- walrus01 6y agothe patent for the antenna shows dual simultaneous beamforming. some form of make-before-break. how exactly they're doing it is quite opaque to the end user, and part of their secret recipe.
