Whenever I looked into buying an actual news paper subscription the fact that the was no price transparency made me conclude I couldn't do business with them.

Whenever I looked into buying an actual news paper subscription the fact that the was no price transparency made me conclude I couldn't do business with them. I'm a supporter of the guardian, but actually buying NYT or some other high quality journalism I've given up on. If I feel like I'm getting scammed when I'm buying the product, then I don't want to buy it! Low introduction price without telling me what the real price is IMO criminal fraud. I might put up with it from an essential service provider because I have no choice, but not from a newspaper vendor.
