Hardly. Barely a single actual piece of supporting evidence was given. It is left as an unstated assumption that we already believe Nixon was a heinous individual, without pointing out a single actual flaw. Just a series of insults.
- fuzzfactor 6y agoNo supporting evidence was necessary if you were observant at the time. In 1974 Dr. Thompson came to our university and didn't hold back how he really felt. It would not have been publishable. Just like the majority of Americans who had fully realized his innate corruption, within a couple years you could not usually find an American, Democrat or Republican who admitted to voting for him and he had actually been re-elected.
- cafard 6y agoI am reminded of they guy from the band--Dr. Hook's Medicine Show?--who was asked about their song "Sylvia's Mother". He said, Well, people say it's cheesy, but it went platinum, and I sure didn't buy all those records myself. Nixon carried 49 states in 1972, and he didn't cast all those votes himself.
