That's correct, I do. Patents should protect the rights long enough to bring a product to market, not stop all competition in an entire field of technology for decades

- abeppu 6y agoI think it's worse than this. Patents can reward shallow, crappy thinking. You can patent an idea which you haven't figured out how to build -- which I think almost always means you can patent it before you've finished figuring out enough to make it useful.
