- opendomain 6y agocan you clarify? Do you mean Satoshi could not extract some of the bitcoins?
- SlipperySlope 6y agoSatoshi created Bitcoin blocks on a few laptops for the year he was developing the Bitcoin protocol. He took the network live at that point instead of recreating the genesis block from scratch. During the year long development period, Satoshi evidently did not retain the private keys for those million BTC. I say evidently because like every other early adopter, Satoshi would have cashed in when Bitcoin exceeded a dollar in price after that first year after release on Slashdot.
