It seems that Porches are going the way of mechanical watches -- i.e. complicated, anachronistic, expensive, and through that somehow prestigious, high status etc.
- clouddrover 6y agoPorsche's electric car is the Taycan. Here are some demonstrations of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItCGU7BTBv8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItCGU7BTBv8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m31EgQkswg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m31EgQkswg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jSG_10_JRg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jSG_10_JRg The next BEV from Porsche will be an electric Macan.
- nullifidian 6y agoI know that Taycan exists. So what? If EVs become the norm, due to evolutionary or revolutionary increase in battery capacity/energy density, Porche will be one of the last to stop producing ICE vehicles. Not surprising that they are planning for the future and researching synthetic fuels. "Mechanical watchness" can be felt in their marketing narratives that influencers produce.
