There used to be the "FAQ" format for product/project documentation covering points that don't fit into regular documentation. There's also the format of "case studies". Not sure SO should be a place for the likes of Oracle/MS to answer questions about "their" language stacks. AFAICS, Oracle has pretty much pulled out of pushing Java years ago anyway. In contrast, MS is all over the place to advertise .net and TS. Don't need more of that on SO, with staged questions and distortion of public reception by sheer volume and SO stats.
