Pattern matching could be amazing for Python. I love pattern matching in erlang/elixir.
- johnisgood 6y agoAnd is it going to be anything similar in Python? From the looks of it, Python's pattern matching is nothing like OCaml's or Erlang's, but perhaps I am wrong.
- macintux 6y agoWell, Erlang is built around pattern matching as a core concept that applies to every statement, so it’s safe to say it’ll be much more limited in utility in Python. Still, it looks like a decent addition.
