In building a browser game engine, over the past few years I've filed ~3 chrome bugs and they all got fixed. Also the experience was frankly nicer than what I'm used to with github repositories - nobody on the chrome team closed my issue for departing from the bug report template! In fact they didn't even ask for repro files; basically as long as I described the issue clearly, they took it from there. Granted the process took a looong time (months IIRC). But overall I found it very painless.
