Undici – an HTTP/1.1 client, written from scratch for Node.js
- edf13 6y ago(not a critique) Why rewrite what is already available? What’s the main improvement you’re looking for?
- evnix 6y agounlike others, It is written in NodeJS, which is an asynchronous event-driven JavaScript runtime, Node.js is designed to build scalable network applications. The main advantage is instead of a single binary, you have millions of files in the node_modules directory which is useful if you want to inspect the code.
- SahAssar 6y agoNode has a http client built in. This one seems faster, but also does not support all the features.
- volgar1x 6y agoIt seems to be a faster replacement of `http`.
- imedadel 6y agoFrom the library's author: > Why is it twice as fast? Or why can't the native library not be twice as fast? > It’s implemented from scratch. The old client cannot be due to inefficient design of the internals, as well as years of maintaining legacy APIs!
