I personally find it baffling that someone organizing an event would not have realized, one year into this thing, that COVID tests are not 100% reliable. Part of me thinks that he knew full well it was a risk and just assumed he'd get lucky. The alternative is that he was badly misinformed and really didn't know what he was doing in the first place.
