How does it compare to PersonalDNS or Blockada?

  (developer here) RethinkDNS is both a firewall and a DNS client. Not sure about pdnsf, but RethinkDNS doesn't leak DNS connections over TCP (afaik, Blokada does). Besides, RethinkDNS can also prevent one class of SNI sniffing attacks (typically employed by ISPs as a poor man's firewall to censor websites) which Blokada and PDNSF both don't / can't. Think of it as a (limited) cross between Little Snitch and Pi-Hole with anti-censorship capabilities.
