This is a very poorly written article and very much reflects the general decline in FT’s quality. Bitcoin is popular across the globe. Fiscal and monetary policies have been accommodative for several years across the globe not just the US. People are not bidding up bitcoin because they fear inflation. They’re being bid up in speculation. Very different.
