Ask HN: How does moderation work on Hacker News?
- polote 6y agoCan you stop spamming the forum with useless or repetitive posts ?
- Someone1234 6y agoThey said this 36 days ago: > I understand that posting it again and again is bad, sorry for that. Then posted the same link 19 more times since then. And that's just in the last 36 days, before the above exchange there were 10+ of the link (thus the exchange).

- mtmail 6y agohttps://github.com/minimaxir/hacker-news-undocumented/blob/master/README.md https://github.com/minimaxir/hacker-news-undocumented/blob/m... has some details on flagging and vouching. Your account is below 31 karma so you don't see the links/features in the user interface yet. Besides users there's only two people working on HN. https://www.ycombinator.com/people/ https://www.ycombinator.com/people/ lists only one, but I see somebody posted the New Yorker article that includes the second moderator.
- redis_mlc 6y ago> Ask HN: How does moderation work on Hacker News? You get banned on HN for the wrong group-think: - posting facts - posting a non-leftist narrative - asking an OP for a logically coherent argument - disagreeing with HN fanbois on the relevance of mythology on UFOs, scifi, etc. - disagreeing with nuclear energy as a panacea - disagreeing with bitcoin as able to replace all of our banking and capital systems - disagreeing with farming being "romantic". Let me know if I missed anything.
