School sucked big time for me. But I thought I was in the minority because I was nerdy, not very popular and insolent towards teachers bacause I hated authority. Now I think it might be that everyone else also thought the same, only with a different set of reasons - the non-nerdy kids feared maths, the popular kids were getting involved in the struggle to be popular. Maybe parents suppress the memories so as not to face what they're doing to their children just to get them off their backs for a while.
