Bill Gates Says the Next Horrible Virus Could Be Engineered by Terrorists
- ku-man 6y agoI won't be surprised the slightest when that happens. The only question left is which evil democracy-hater organization will carry the attack. Not al-Qaeda as it's getting old, an iranian based sounds more likely.

- coldtea 6y agoWhy is a billionaire (with a fortune built on shady business practices and a monopoly) talking publicly and influencing public policy? Who exactly elected him?
- approxim8ion 6y agoIt's what they do.
- jasonv 6y agoHis foundation is a significant player in the non-profit & NGO world. Whether you like him or not, his influence extends far beyond tech.
- coldtea 6y agoYes, so, basically "because money".
- tinus_hn 6y agoWhy are you talking publicly about a billionaire? Who elected you?
- coldtea 6y agoI'm not influencing public policy, setting up foundations and organizations to lobby, inviting politicians and policy makers to conferences, or pushing for this or that through mass paid campaigns. Talking publicly as an individual is part of what's called "democracy". Undue influence based on your money is part of what's called corporatism.
- tinus_hn 6y ago> I'm not influencing public policy, That’s up to you. He is, and so could you. You’d have to do more work than him, but you could.
- Gunax 6y agoSo how feasible is bioterrorism and what resources does one need? Lone individual, terrorist org, or military-level difficult?
- pcdoodle 6y agoBill should stick to predicting how much ram we'll need in the future.
- eddhead 6y agoI can't understand why people still can't separate Bill Gates from Microsoft, or vaccines
