Spotify will let employees work from anywhere after the pandemic
- djrogers 6y agoWondering what this will actually look like. Will salaries stay location based? What location will new-hire pay scale be based on? I know it's easy to think that down the road this will all even out and it won't matter anymore, but it really matters right now. If a company commits to hiring without any regard for location, why wouldn't they hire a majority of their employees from a place with depressed wages? If followed to it's logical conclusion, it starts smelling a lot like offshoring, but with a much more employee-friendly justification. If it's not that, then how does a company avoid it becoming that?
