I have recently found out you can actually run Docker containers with LXC as well. I've yet to get deep into it, but it seems to work fine*.
* Manual config tweaking may be required.
- linkdd 6y agoIIRC, Docker's first versions were only a high-level API to LXC. containerd/runc/... came after.
