- iFreilicht 6y agoThe only standard (more like pseudo-standard) I know of are the DIY 60% layouts. Those have defined mounting points and a lot of PCBs and cases are interchangeable. But no ortholinear layout fits these OOTB because the mounting points interfere with the changed switch positions. Additionally, I (and presumably the majority of users) don't want a mechanical keyboard in my Laptop, I want a thin chiclet-style keyboard, and there are zero standards regarding those and producing an ortholinear replacement in small quantities would be quite costly.
