It looks like Snikket is trying to pull together the popular opensource implementations of XMPP ecosystem as one product.
It would be a lot easier to tell people to connect to a Snikket server for their Snikket messenger rather than Element messenger to connect to a Matrix server where I've completely lost their attention.
- olah_1 6y agoA lot of matrix clients are designing it how you mention. As an example, the app would be called Snikket and when a user makes an account, they’re on the Snikket matrix server by default. They don’t even know they’re using matrix protocol.
