After holding down the power and volume buttons on an iPhone, biometrics will not work, and the phone will require a passcode. Does this still count as AFU?
- sneak 6y agoI think a better fix for this issue (because, of course, they can seize the other party's phone) is to use Signal's expiring/disappearing messages, so that they are (presumably) erased from both devices after the specified period of time. I wonder if the method of "disappearing" the messages used by the app is vulnerable to forensic analysis or not.
- icelancer 6y agoYeah, not using disappearing messages with Signal is just asking for this type of thing to happen. It's the number one reason I even use it in the first place.
