    It's pretty scary that without even reading the article we already know which piece of software was responsible - yet somehow some brightspark thought it was a great idea to: 1) have the computer running this stuff on a network which faces the internet 2) install teamviewer on it I mean.. what did they expect?

  Yes, KrebsOnSecurity reported that TeamViewer was used. Can’t find the article right now though.
