Hackers Begin Sharing Internal CD Projekt Red Data Publicly
- dimeatree 6y agoWell it is good that they seem to have back ups, and even if Witcher or CP2077 do end up being leaked - what is the legitimate threat of damage here? They are titles that are already released. The real threat that I can see, is if the hackers end up releasing more personal details. But regarding the source code, this will end up being a boon for the modding community.
- talhah 6y agoFrom the looks of it they didn't steal any personal information according to what I've come across, there's always a likelihood that they managed to get it but I doubt it. Side note, maybe all the bugs in Cyberpunk can actually be fixed by the community, I wonder if CDPR will open source these games now that it's in the hands of the public. Edit: This article quotes the hackers saying they have other sensitive information. Its a matter of how "personal" this information is.
- yodelshady 6y ago"Do you have access to any of the other CDPR data? We'd love to hear from you." Really, vice? There's no public interest here that justifies soliciting stolen data. Isn't this what did for Gawker?
