Hydroxychloroquine seems to have decent results as well (though with side effects) according to the most recent meta analyses. TWiV #715 @3m14s [1] discusses the paper Hydroxychloroquine-mediated inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 entry is attenuated by TMPRSS2 [2], including the wonderful Figure 1. TL;DR: Hydroxychloroquine worked in the lab with cells that have ACE2 but lacked TMPRSS2. Human trials failed because SARS-CoV-2 can enter the cell via a 2nd pathway assisted by TMPRSS2. Hydroxychloroquine probably works in combination with Camostat.
