ISPs step up fight against SpaceX, tell FCC that Starlink will be too slow
- imglorp 6y agoThose ISPs have been gorging from the universal access funds for decades and some huge fraction of the country is still dialup. They had their chance.
- nickt 6y agoIt does sound like sour grapes and the timing of the report a day before Starlink made general signups available (albeit with a limited number per geographic area) is interesting. I have a ISP in both the UK and Colorado, for similar service the UK ISP is a tenth of the Comcast Business price. And in the UK I can choose from over 40 ISPs with FTTC. I can’t wait for a bit of competition and yes I’ve signed up.
