I keep wanting to get into Go, and I pick it up on and off over the years but just can't. It brings so much good, but it has actually removed too much. It needs sum types and pattern matching. Once you have used them, not having them is a huge gray void. Const expr, interfaces, sum types and pattern matching get you 85% of the way there.
