Parents of Trader Who Committed Suicide File Lawsuit Against Robinhood
- at-fates-hands 6y agoTalk about taking a bad situation and turning it into a fucking nightmare: The day after Alex took his own life, Robinhood sent an automated email suggesting the trade had been resolved and he didn't owe any money. "Great news!" The email read, "We're reaching out to confirm that you've met your margin call and we've lifted your trade restrictions. If you have any questions about your margin call, please feel free to reach out. We're happy to help!" I can't imagine the amount of rage you would have as a parent getting this email the day after your son killed himself because of Robinhood's woeful customer service. I sincerely hope they get some justice. Robinhood is up to its eyeballs in SEC issues already and are probably going to file bankruptcy which would leave this family out in the cold. Sad sad story.
