Elon Musk’s effect on crypto world shows how irrational markets are

  Musk has just found out that it's easier to manipulate the markets by being a meme edgelord. The cult of personality surrounding him by other memelords creeps me out, as it's not like he's really cares about anime cat girls or doge coins, those are just means to increasing his monetary/cultural/marketable wealth. I don't blame him, that's an incredibly smart move of his, but I'm saddened by the vast amount of sheep that think he's the second coming of Christ because he said we're going on Mars and has mentioned the defunct dogecoin meme and "gamestonk!" on his Twitter. Are we living in Idiocracy yet?

    If you're looking for Idiocracy you'll find it much more readily in the followers of Trump than in the followers of Musk.

  This is what happens when the social media world collides with the trading world. People have extremely unrealistic expectations of performance these days. Having said that, the crypto world is pretty insane - it's totally uncharted waters where anything can happen. Winners are winning big (FTX CEO is worth $10bn after only 3 years, for example).
