I can say this. I highly doubt we’re done innovating with how software is made. I feel like systems development has gone extremely out of fashion in the past couple decades. The OS’s and tools we have are good enough to get a lot of stuff done. However, there’s still quite a few problems, and we don’t even know the productivity level we could get to, because we haven’t seen the future. There’s nothing wrong with not being a dreamer or not trying wanting progress the industry. But, there’s also nothing wrong with doing those things either.
