Couldn't the same argument be made of any protocol? Not all browser implement HTTP in the same way, IPv6 isn't compatible with IPv4, but all agree to switch, HTML is governed by a central body but a lot of the influence comes from the community.
- potatolicious 15y agoThe difference is that changing the HTTP protocol and moving to IPv6 won't wipe out people's savings and threaten the world economy...
