TikTok Influencer ‘Isodope’ Is Stanning for Nuclear Energy (2020)
- ElijahLynn 6y agoIt does seem that the Vice author is also stanning for Nuclear Energy. The article doesn't mention the word "renewable" or "solar" once to compare it to nuclear power. What happens when the nuclear inevitably fails or is abandoned? Not if but when?
- runsWphotons 6y agoWhat happens when we get into wars over weird minerals no one has heard of, or toxic chemicals leach from solar panels into drinking water? It seems there are harsh tradeoffs in any direction. Your questions are good (better than mine), but I think people are working hard on them with new designs. I like nuclear because it is low waste and seems more amenable to longer term planning. It also seems easier to defend and less reliant on trading for a vast array of minerals...and it seems we have better solutions for what we are going to do with the waste.
- genpfault 6y ago"Stanning"?
- dagorenouf 6y agoPeople’s bias against nuclear comes from the fear of explosions. They will draw all sort of conclusions that don’t match reality because of this.
