I'm waiting for SaaSaaS. SaaS as a service.
- purplerabbit 6y agoI would unironically buy this... probably 20% of my job is wrangling SaaS boilerplate. Am I alone on this? Let's be honest, how much of the SaaS code you write could be applicable in any SaaS application?
- grinich 6y agoWhat's your job?
- purplerabbit 6y agosoftware engineer
- grinich 6y agoYeah :P But what are you building? Do you work at an agency building lots of new products? Or building internal apps? Seems most companies don't need new boilerplate as everyone is just adding code to the existing product.
- jokethrowaway 6y agoSaasify, but they want 20% of your business I don't think this model works, as small indie devs trying to do SaaS won't pay well enough and drown you in support and anything more than a mid company trying to do SaaS will reimplement their own (badly but good enough) in a month. Saasify with a few millions funding and a hundreds of sales could do ok, but investors are throwing money on other things these days.
