Ask HN: Flutter or Kotlin and Swift or Java and Objective C?
or something else
What is the best tech stack to build mobile apps?
- esarbe 6y agoScala and Scala.js (https://www.scala-js.org/ https://www.scala-js.org/) It's an amazing stack, integrates nicely into the existing ecosystem and has phenomenal usability.
- julienreszka 6y agoBut can you build mobile apps with it?
- esarbe 6y agoIf you want to build native mobile apps, you probably better stick with Kotlin/Java on Android and Swift/ObjectiveC on IOS. If you want to build progressive web apps; sure. You can use Cordova (https://cordova.apache.org/ https://cordova.apache.org/) to package them.
- sto_hristo 6y agoIt's all about your team and the ones that will inherit the project will want to use. So such thing as best. But there is the surest bet - always the native stack. This gives you first class support for everything in the targeted platform and common ground that you can rely on other people to step on when they come in.
