This article is packed with odd mistakes. One more is the assertion that Microsoft has been hard at work to make Windows, an x86 operating system, work with ARM.
The NT lineage of Windows has worked on PPC, MIPS, Alpha, IA64, x86, x64, and ARM. I’ve personally used it on all but PPC and MIPS.
Where Microsoft is likely behind is in instruction set adaptation, where the last strong effort was with DEC with FX!32.
However, they’re back in the game.
