No mention of content blockers that stop ad network requests from even going out in the first place... I was under the impression that content blockers could even speed up page loads.
- loeg 6y agoAt least uBlock Origin and probably most of the other adblockers on this list meet this standard. - Zak 6y agoThe news article in the test loaded 3 times as fast with the slowest adblocker than with no adblocker, and 19 times as fast with the fastest adblocker.
- Mandatum 6y agoThat metric alone.. If you work with any large organisation, this is enough to justify install-as-standard. Just need someone to verify/"Enterprisify" the uBlock Origin addon (throw some money at them, charge $X per enterprise for email support, hire a rep).
