I know this is the most pedantic of all comments but unless something has changed in the last few weeks, the cafeteria is on the 14th of the building. I believe 2 is bottom floor of the newsroom, which is an open mezzanine of 3 floors. Having said that, the elevators at the NYT are a nightmare with exceptionally long wait times and very little throughput.
