He currently doesn't want (you) to be a part of his life Considering he's not even in elementary school yet, I wouldn't worry too much about it right now. I'm not a parent, but it seems to me like 4-5 year olds or younger aren't the most rational or emotionally-developed people. Just be a good person/parent and I imagine he'll warm up to you as he gets older.
