I have an 8 core mac pro, 64 gb of ram. I bought a 16 gb ram M1 macbook air for my assistant so she could edit videos for me. We did a render test using an app compiled for apple silicon. The fanless MacBook air beat the imac pro by a solid 15 percent or so. I was expecting a result like that but it’s still stunning to see. We did the render test in camtasia, which is what I had used to make a screen recording.
