So back the fall I picked up a friend at Sea-Tac airport b/c he had just flown cross country for a new job and was tasked with driving him to his new apartment. He wanted to stop at Ikea to buy a mattress and we got there and figured out based on the line out the building "no way is this happening", so we stopped at Southcenter Mall to look for some other stuff he was going to need.
Two things stuck out to me in particular: it had been a long time since I had ever seen a mall so busy and literally everyone in the mall was wearing masks. Like not a single defector. I was pleasantly stunned (and annoyed at how long the lines for literally everything were). I think after we got blasted in March everyone just decided to actually take it seriously, more or less.
