- pmyteh 6y agoYes. And the 'paid so you are the customer, not the product' thing has limits. That was one of the original value propositions of cable television, but it turns out to be more profitable to get a platform monopoly and then sell ads as well as charging a fee. Paid-for might be necessary for non-scummy, but it's certainly not sufficient.
