- kneel 6y agoInterestingly you could also fool a normal person into speeding up by altering a speed limit sign. Pesky hackers...
- rightbyte 6y agoLook at the picture. The middle 'stick' of the three is just a bit longer.
- dvngnt_ 6y agoGPS location could be used to determine what the speed limit is
- tharkun__ 6y agoReally really really bad idea. My TomTom tried to tell me what the speed limit was too. With the most up to date map data (sure differentl cycles than nowadays with basically direct internet link from the car vs. having to update maps that come out every month-ish) it was way off sometimes. Like literally 120km/h vs 80km/h type stuff.
- hnburnsy 6y agoThere are now variable speed limit signs too. Example... https://www.aspentimes.com/news/speed-limit-on-i-70-through-glenwood-canyon-to-range-from-30-60-mph-depending-on-conditions/ https://www.aspentimes.com/news/speed-limit-on-i-70-through-...
- perl4ever 6y agoMy car (not a Tesla) reads the speed limit signs. Except not always; recently I was on a highway where people go 70 and it thought the limit was 20. Luckily it has no authority to do anything about it.
