I think it's generally accepted that as a human in 2021 you no longer can expect to or have a right to expect privacy, at any point, for any reason, period. Whether you're having sex, on the toilet or just moving around, trackers are everywhere (and yes, there are "smart" toilets/sex toys these days).
And honestly, the HN crowd will "go wild" and complain but I haven't exactly seen a societal condemnation of the intrusive surveillance. In fact, I think mostly everyone has embraced it. There are people who probably wouldn't mind their entire lives being recorded in 4k for you to spool through every second (and newer generations upload to instagram/tiktok/wherever else).
So this shouldn't be too alarming. Google/Amazon et al are in a race to record the trillions of data points humans generate daily and store them for the rest of time because why not, our phones are doing a good job of filtering a lot of that data (because it is mostly just noise), so they can focus on the "highlights".

But eventually someone intuits passive support for revolutionary change and then it blindsides those who were like "but everybody was fine with the status quo!" On a tangent, I saw an Amazon delivery truck and it made a really weird back-up noise (I think). Don't know how to describe it but I was wondering if anyone else has heard it.
