Which browser do you prefer?
Hi everyone.
I was wondering which browser you prefer. Which browser do you prefer, and why?
- delirehberi 6y agobrave, privacy + performance
- daemon001 6y agoChrome. Their UI is the best in the market.
- lrvick 6y agoQutebrowser - Uses Blink engine but lightweight and 100% keyboard navigatable with vim-like controls.
- jaeming 6y agoFirefox, for a couple of years now. I've tried switching to Brave and Vivaldi at times but it never lasted more than a week or two. I've just gotten too used to FF, especially it's Dev tools, which though similar to chrome, has subtle differences that I prefer.
- lustaly 6y agoI tried Brave but frankly, i hated it. It has very cumbersome and excessive resource consumption problems. Although I posted this problem on the Brave community forum, I could not get any proper help. https://community.brave.com/t/high-cpu-and-ram-usage https://community.brave.com/t/high-cpu-and-ram-usage
- bearjaws 6y agoMade the switch to Firefox after their big rewrite, haven't looked back. Also use it on my Android phone now, as I feel an ad blocker is critical on mobile, it honestly is a game changer.
- psyc 6y agoChrome, but I couldn't tell you exactly why. It's just that every time I switch, something rubs me slightly the wrong way. So I switch back. Nothing about Chrome ever bothers me.
- wryoak 6y agoI use firefox primarily, brave occasionally. What I like about them is that they're not owned by a huge tech company and they have big talk (and in some cases walk the walk) regarding security. I like brave's developing approach towards ads and a patreon style system and would like to see greater adoption.
- Nextgrid 6y agoSafari. Unprecedented performance/battery life ratio.
- a3n 6y agoFirefox, because I've used it since Netscape, and for ublock origin, and that it's not from Google or Microsoft and their current or eventual motivation to thwart tools like ublock origin. However, it's pretty annoying that chrome has become the lazy or arrogant or underfunded shop's first or only target, and see various navigation affordances rendered as upside down letters or plain rectangles.
- stephane-klein 6y agoFirefox on MacOS and Fennec on Android.
