Do you think the summer protest were a move for or against the neoliberal consensus?
- Red_Leaves_Flyy 6y agoYes, absolutely. The voices against neoliberalism have grown in number and volume since 2019. Do you not?
- DenisM 6y agoI think the summer protests have displaced the movement against the neoliberal doctrine rather than aiding the movement.
- TheAdamAndChe 6y agoI agree. The complete focus on all the politicians and media is on race and gender issues, completely ignoring economic issues.
- Red_Leaves_Flyy 6y agoThat's the focus you'll see most of the time if you watch mainstream media. But even cnn just had a bad faith podcast host on so the tide is changing... Slowly. That's how grassroots movements work. Slowly, from the labor classes on up.
- lucian1900 6y agoThe BLM protests are precisely one of the expressions of the growing anger against the neoliberal consensus. After all, capitalism requires racism to function. A united working class organising general strikes and arming themselves would be dangerous to the bourgeoisie.
