What exactly do they get fined for? I recognize this sort of upselling is sleazy, but I'm curious about the wording of laws that make it a fineable offense.
- sjg007 6y agoIt usually starts with an investigation by the attorney general who responds to customer complaints alleging fraud and deceit etc... Sometimes things are kicked off by a local news channel sting.
