Stadia would have been a GINORMOUS investment decision. It's not Allo. It is probably thousands of engineering years of work. Maybe they just couldn't get licensing deals they wanted and refused to let go of the idea until now? It seems like Stadia needs both heroic technical effort and really clever go to market and they just failed outright on the latter.
