This can't be an oversight, the feature is too obvious, too easy to implement. This has to be a deliberate choice.
Does anyone know why HN made this choice?
- thesuitonym 6y agoI think the whole commenting system was added as an afterthought. HN is not really a discussion forum, it's a news aggregator where you can discuss posts. I think that makes it a bit more civil.
